THE SCHOOL .....
Italian Language School is in collaboration with the University for Foreigners "Dante Alighieri" of Reggio Calabria since 2014 on the Italian Language Competence Certificate (PLIDA).

ILS is open all year round for students of every age, level and nationality. It’s objective is to offer high quality, stimulating Italian language lessons in a warm and friendly environment. Classes have a max 8 students, using teaching methods that focus on developing conversational skills, without neglecting the study of grammatical structures and as a difference from traditional schools, lessons are tailored to each student and they can also be individual rather than in a group.
ILS’s team of motivated teachers are all mother tongue, professionally qualified and have many years of experience teaching Italian language to foreign learners.
Students can use a library, a videoteca (where they can find every kind of book, essay, novel, dictionaries, Italian newspapers, and the most famous films from the Italian cinema) and a computer to serf by Internet for free.
OTRANTO .....
Otranto is one of the most important bathing localities in Italy, famous for its clean waters, its splendid and large beaches, located in an historical and very attractive setting.
An excellent climate and an exciting night life make Otranto one of the most preferred holiday destinations.
Apulia is a land of passage, a land between two seas located on the Mediterranean, across between marine and land routes that reflect memorable, mythical and historical migration.
There's no other place on earth like Apulia, you will find art, archaeology, history, folklore and breathtaking scenery, and, of course, great food.
THE COURSES .....
The courses are taught at all levels by native Italian speakers, university graduates who are specially qualified to teach Italian language and culture.
There are 3 different levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, and 4 different typology of frequency: LOW, NORMAL, INTENSIVE and FULL IMMERSION of 10, 15, 20 and 25 weekly lessons.
No special pre-requisites are necessary to attend our Italian Language courses and at the end of the courses every student receives a certificate which states the attained knowledge of Italian.
The lessons take place from Monday to Friday, normally in the morning.
1 lesson is 50 minutes (If there should be only one student for the course or level booked, each lesson will be 40 minutes). If there should be less than 8 students in the school will be activated only the Intermediate Level.
Special Courses: Cooking, Literature, Grammar, CILS and CELI preparation, Italian for kids. 
ACTIVITIES .....
Our school has a wide recreative program: we organize disco and theatre nights, quiz games, sport competitions, movies, dinners in the garden, tambourine course, tours on horses or by bike, canoe or ship.
You can surf, play tennis, football, karate and karting.
There is also the possibility of diving with the help of a professional team.
We also organize architectural and artistic trips all around Otranto with special regard to Maglie, Lecce and Salentinian Greece, wine tasting and Gastronomic tours in Salento.
Visit to the most beautiful Greek-Byzanthine Churches: Santo Stefano and Santa Caterina, the second biggest church in Italy with more frescoes after the Basilica of Assisi. 
ACCOMMODATION .....
The accommodations are in the building in which the school is located in double or single rooms, with heating and air conditioning, television, some have a balcony with sea view. The sheets and towels are supplied and its change and the cleaning of the rooms happens weekly.
There is a breakfast room, a bar, a room with video facilities where the students can watch Italian movies selected by the school, a garden and an open space to relax.  |
